About the Berry Architecture + Associates Community Wellness Ride

riders on the road

The first Wellness Ride was held in 2008 when a small group of dedicated cyclists came together to ride 100 km and raise funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) – Central Alberta Region. In 2009, a partnership was formed with the Central Alberta Brain Injury Society (CABIS) to also receive proceeds from the event.

In 2017, the ride was renamed the Berry Architecture + Associates Community Wellness Ride in recognition of the longstanding support and sponsorship of George Berry and his team at Berry Architecture + Associates.

Each year the ride is organized by the Wellness Ride Committee, made up of staff and volunteers from Berry Architecture + Associates, CMHA, and CABIS. Thanks in part to their hard work, the event continues to grow and evolve, but it still remains a smaller, non-intimidating event for riders of all ages and abilities.
